His Wife Went To A Work Conference, Wound Up Sleeping In Her Male Coworker’s Hotel Room, And Then Lied To Him About The Whole Thing
A 35-year-old guy is currently married to his 35-year-old wife named Ann, and they have been together for a decade. Not too long ago, Ann left to go to a work conference in a different city.
Ann booked herself a hotel room for her stay, and she also was going to the conference with her 34-year-old male coworker named Doug, who was not staying in her hotel, but he was staying just a few miles down the road from her.
Now, it’s worth mentioning here that Ann and Doug are very good friends, as they have been working with one another for about 2 years.
He and Ann have gone to hang out with Doug and Doug’s wife at their house before, too, so they definitely spend time together outside of work hours.
The night before the conference began, Doug and Ann were spending time together in the bar of Doug’s hotel.
He assumes that nothing between Doug and Ann at the bar turned out to go in a direction that crossed lines.
As the evening wore on, he stopped hearing from Ann entirely, so he figured that she had to have gone to sleep.
When he stopped to see what the location on her phone was, though, her phone alerted him to the fact that Ann had not left Doug’s hotel at all.
He kept checking on her location for the remainder of the evening and into the hours of the morning.

The entire time, Ann clearly was still at Doug’s hotel. She never made it back to her own hotel, according to her phone.
“She played it off that she did NOT sleep in his hotel room and accidentally left her phone after Doug had called her a Lyft,” he explained.
“She left the phone, and he called the ride because she was too drunk (which she was drunk). He was so kind to hold onto the phone and charge it overnight. Now despite the odd nature of her depiction of events and the odd path her phone traveled that morning, I tried to believe her.”
“Some time has passed, and it still just didn’t sit right with me. So recently, I snooped through her phone (I am upset at myself for that), and in conversation with Doug, Ann made a comment about how she never made it back to her hotel during the events detailed above.”
Although he has absolutely no clue what went down between Doug and Ann that evening, he can confirm that Ann did, in fact, wind up sleeping in Doug’s hotel room.
Ann has completely lied to his face about that and stayed with her story that she only forgot her phone behind in Doug’s hotel.
Ann really is not the kind of person who ever lies, and she is an excellent wife to him, as well as a great mom to their 3 children.
He admits that he might be the gullible one here, but he can’t imagine Ann sleeping with Doug. Instead, he thinks that perhaps she got really drunk and maybe wound up attempting to kiss Doug and is embarrassed about that.
He never found any evidence in her messages to Doug that she did sleep with Doug at all.
“Added wrinkle, from the text convo (again, not proud of snooping), after the night in question, she requested that they take a break from texting each other,” he said.
“He obliged her request. That lasted for a few weeks, but then the silence was lifted (again by her request).”
“So my questions are; how do I get to the bottom of this? How do I bring this topic up? Should I even confront her?”
