She Decided To Leave Her Friend’s House After Their Chihuahua Attacked Another Party Guest, But Her Friend Took Her Exit Super Personally And Is Now Accusing Her Of Ruining The Whole Party
This thirty-two-year-old woman has a friend named Dana, and Dana recently invited a few people over for a hangout to drink and catch up.
She and the rest of her friends were all down to attend, including another woman named Amy and Amy’s husband, Mark.
Anyway, Dana apparently bought a chihuahua about two months ago and named the pet “Chica.”
Now, Chica is an adult, and it was made clear before Dana purchased the dog that Chica had “issues” related to separation anxiety.
According to her, though, Dana had put Chica on a specific feeding schedule, and the dog was reportedly a well-behaved pet overall.
“Dana said nothing about any aggressive behavior, and I’d like to mention that I love animals– big and small. So, I was looking forward to meeting Chica,” she recalled.
After she arrived at Dana’s house for the get-together, though, things took a pretty quick turn after Chica attacked her friend Amy.
It all began after she showed up for the hangout a bit late, so most of her friends were there already. In turn, she just joined in on the fun and started to catch up with the group.
About fifteen minutes later, though, Dana decided to bring Chica out of the bedroom and introduced the dog to the group in Lion King fashion. She and the rest of her friends all thought that was cute and laughed, but then tragedy struck.
As soon as Dana put Chica down, the chihuahua apparently bolted over to Amy, latched onto her leg, and started viciously attacking it while growling.
So, of course, everyone started freaking the heck out; meanwhile, Amy was screaming and crying, attempting to push the chihuahua off of her leg.
Then, Amy’s husband, Mark, stepped in to help and also tried pulling Chica off of Amy’s leg. According to her, though, Dana was the only one who did not try to help.
Instead, Dana just kept screaming, “Don’t hurt my baby! What are you doing! Leave her alone!” the entire time!
Mark did eventually get Chica off of Amy’s leg, thankfully, and he held the dog up in the air while screaming at Dana to “take it.”
And finally, Dana grabbed hold of the pup, ran back into her bedroom, and slammed the door.
Once Chica was removed from the situation, and Dana was in the back of the house, everyone then turned their attention to Amy– who literally had blood running down her leg.
Understandably, though, Amy and Mark were both over the hangout after that and decided to leave following the attack.
“And the rest of us were sitting there like holy, what just happened?” she explained.
After Dana finally made her way back to the living room, though, she remembered her friend casually asking where Amy and Mark had gone.
Moreover, she noted how Dana was acting way too nonchalant about the situation– and she and the rest of her friends just could not believe it.
Regardless, they all told Dana that the couple had left a few minutes ago– obviously because of Chica’s aggression.
It quickly became clear, though, that Dana just did not get that– because she immediately claimed to have calmed Chica down and revealed that she would be letting the chihuahua back out again!
Now, she was not about to witness or fall victim to another bout of aggression. So, at that moment, she decided to get the heck out of there and told Dana that she was leaving.
For whatever reason, though, Dana took her decision way too personally. In fact, Dana actually told her she could kiss their friendship goodbye if she left!
But she was not going to let Dana’s threats intimidate her, and she ended up just telling Dana off.
“I am wearing shorts! If your dog bites me, I might drop-kick it into oblivion, and I am not about that life,” she yelled at Dana.
Now, by that point, she had downed a couple of drinks and was feeling a bit tipsy. So, she did not necessarily intend for her response to come out as comical as it did, but her friends still found it hilarious and started laughing.
If you could not have guessed, though, all of the laughter only made Dana even angrier. So, Dana actually ended up telling her to get the hell out of the house, and she did.
Still, ever since that night, Dana has not stopped blowing up her phone with furious messages. Apparently, she is being accused of ruining the entire party– specifically because the rest of their friends left immediately after she did.
And in one text message, Dana even reportedly tried to reason away her dog’s behavior by saying that Chica had bitten someone else before but that it “wasn’t a big deal.”
So now, in the wake of that chaotic evening, she has been left wondering whether leaving Dana’s get-together because of the chihuahua was understandable or if she just made the situation worse.
If Dana knew that her dog had already bitten someone, why invite people over and introduce them to the pet? Do you think people have a right to leave any situation where they feel threatened by a dog? Why do you believe Dana is dragging their friendship into this? If you had been in her shoes, would you have left also?
