She Needed Her Sister To Pay Her Back Money In Order To Afford Baby Food, But Her Sister Refused And Claimed They Needed The Funds To Buy A New Vape
This twenty-year-old woman has been through a lot of turmoil over the past month. She recently gave birth to her now three-month-old daughter and had been raising her infant with her boyfriend of eight years.
But, just last month, she lost her boyfriend due to a car accident. So, ever since then, she has been dealing with the grief while also trying to manage and make ends meet as a single parent.
And being that her baby was born so recently, she is currently still on maternity leave. Thankfully, she does live in a country where maternity leave is paid for by the government. At the same time, though, it only amounts to about half of her typical income.
In turn, she has been forced to lean on her friend, Kathryn– who was generous enough to let her move in rent-free.
“Regardless of that, it’s still been a major struggle, and things are really piling on top of me,” she revealed.
Although, one of the completely unnecessary stressors in her life has actually been her younger sister, Leah. Leah is sixteen years old and has her own small business, doing people’s nails from home. According to her, though, her sister is still pretty immature with managing finances.
“Leah is really cheap and spends almost all of her profit on disposable vapes and Lucozade [a soft drink],” she said.
So, whenever Leah would run out of money, she would “lend” her sister some funds. And the word “lend” is in quotation marks because, to be honest, she actually cannot remember the last time her sister ever paid her back.
Most recently, though, she lent Leah twenty pounds about a week and a half before her boyfriend passed away.

And even though she had been able to get by on the rest of her savings since then, she really needed those twenty pounds back this week to afford baby food.
In turn, she was forced to shoot her sister a text– asking if she could have the money back. To her surprise, though, Leah tried to claim that she said the money did not need to be paid back.
Now, she has not been over to see her sister that much over the past few months– meaning that most of their conversations had been over text.
So, she decided to scroll back to when Leah had asked for money and took a screenshot of where Leah claimed the money would get paid back. Then, she forwarded that screenshot to Leah and pleaded for the money since she was running out of baby necessities.
Still, Leah ended up saying that she just did not have the money to pay it back right now. However, she already knew that one of her friends was going to get her nails done by Leah the following day.
“And I said she better pay me back when she does nails for my friend tomorrow,” she explained.
Leah still did not get the point, though, and said that after doing her friend’s nails, she would only be receiving ten pounds. The real kicker, though, is that Leah claimed to “need” the other ten pounds to purchase a new vape.
And she obviously got pissed off after hearing that since she is literally trying to feed her baby. So, she claimed that Leah did not need a new vape but that her infant did need food.
But, for whatever reason, Leah continued to give her an attitude. In fact, her sister actually just texted her back, “whatever,” and had the nerve to send the middle finger emoji afterward.
And at that point, she was infuriated. She ended up sending Leah a livid voice memo, calling her sister an “ungrateful little b*tch” and telling her sister to never ask her for anything ever again.
If you could not have guessed it, though, Leah wound up running to their parents to tattle on her. So, even though her parents do understand why she got upset, they are also giving her some heat for telling Leah never to ask her big sister for help again. Essentially, they just think she took it too far.
And now, she has been left wondering if telling her sister off for refusing to help her out was justified or the wrong way to handle the situation.
