She Wants To Adopt Her Niece Because Her Sister Has Made No Effort To Be Involved In Her Niece’s Life Over The Last 6 Months, But Now Her Sister Is Accusing Her Of Trying To “Steal” The Baby

If you could not have guessed it, though, Jane has become livid since learning about her plan. In fact, she has even been threatened numerous times by her sister, even though Jane has yet to follow through on any of those threats.

There is also one more critical piece of this story that must be noted. Apparently, after she and her wife had originally offered to take in Sara, they also attempted to conceive their own child through IVF, and it failed.

Now, they did not tell anyone about this– not even their family. However, she did opt to tell Jane about her childbearing struggles from the first day she got guardianship of Sara– because, apparently, she did not want her sister to think she was trying to be sneaky by trying to care for Sara.

And according to her, Jane had no issue with this reality at the time. But, since she has announced her plans to try and get full custody of her niece, Jane has begun bringing up her fertility troubles and throwing them in her face. In fact, she is even being accused of trying to steal Sara since she cannot have a baby of her own.

Quite frankly, though, she claims this is far from the real truth. Plus, she and her wife already have one adopted child– a son– together.

“We are genuinely worried about the safety and well-being of Sara if she were to go back to Jane. And [because of] the fact that Jane has essentially ghosted her baby, we feel we have every right to pursue permanent guardianship and adoption,” she vented.

Still, though, with her sister painting her intentions as evil, she has been left wondering if “stealing” Jane’s baby Sara to give her niece a better life would actually be the wrong thing to do or not.

Is Jane’s reasoning for not wanting to see Sara understandable or selfish? Does it sound like she and her wife are actually trying to “steal” her niece or give Sara a more stable upbringing? Do you think Sara is better off with her or Jane? If you were in her shoes, how would you navigate this sticky situation?
