Smoked Salmon Pate Is A Fancy Thing To Make For Christmas Brunch, And You Can Even Freeze It If You Want To Make It In Advance
Here’s something fancy you can make for Christmas brunch that will knock the socks off your guests. This smoked salmon pate is packed with flavor and can be served as a dip with crackers or bread.
It’s the perfect appetizer because you can make it ahead of time and freeze it until the day of the big brunch.
TikToker @thebatchlady knows the holidays are a busy affair for people, so she’s hoping her simple smoked salmon pate recipe will help you out.
It’s easy as pie (but definitely does not taste like it) and doesn’t require much effort or ingredients. So here’s what you’ll need:
-600 grams of smoked salmon trimmings
-165 grams of cream cheese
-A clove of garlic
-A lemon, crushed
-4 tablespoons of double cream
-Salt and pepper
All you have to do is throw the ingredients into a food processor and blitz it until you achieve a creamy texture. It’s important that you do not over-mix the pate; otherwise, it will become too thin and runny, and no one wants that.
Also, make sure to chop up the garlic so its flavor can be spread throughout the mixture. In addition, the lemon juice should always be fresh. Store-bought simply will not do. The acidity of a fresh lemon helps balance out the salmon.
And lastly, you can adjust the amounts of salt and pepper to your liking. Smoked salmon pate can be kept in the refrigerator for about three to four days.
Several TikTok users are huge fans of the pate and just can’t get enough of it. This could be you if you try out the recipe!
“Very clear recipe and easily understood. Tastes fantastic too. Can highly recommend this recipe,” commented one user.
“Lovely. Drooling all over!” approved another.
“I’m making this. My elderly parents would LOVE it too,” exclaimed a third.
