As a kid, you were probably always told not to play with your food. But now that you’re an adult, why not? Playing around with food is a must if you are to create a show-stopping edible exhibit for the holidays.
Even if you don’t consider yourself to be a crafty sort of person, you’ll have so much fun preparing this appetizer, a snowman cheeseball.
TikToker @macy.blackwell has a wonderful recipe for this adorable and tasty seasonal caricature. It’s almost too cute to eat, but no one can truly resist the allure of a cheesy snack.
Make one for Christmas and then another one for your New Year’s party. Trust me; everyone will be glad to see this friendly snowman make a reappearance. Read on to learn how to put it together!
Ingredients:
-16 ounces of cream cheese
-2 cups of shredded mozzarella
-1/2 ounce packet of ranch seasoning
-A tiny carrot
-Whole peppercorns
Directions:
Start by blending the cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and one cup of mozzarella in a large bowl. Next, with the help of some saran wrap, form the mixture into two separate balls. One should be bigger for the snowman’s body and the other smaller for its head.
Leave the balls wrapped up and stick them in the refrigerator for about thirty minutes to allow them to firm up. Then, stack the smaller ball on top of the larger one and cover them with the leftover cup of mozzarella.
Add peppercorns for the snowman’s eyes, mouth, and buttons, along with a baby carrot for the nose. Finally, serve it with crackers.
Some TikTok users can’t get enough of this idea and are overjoyed that @macy.blackwell has come through for them again with yet another fantastic recipe.
“I’m gonna be walking into our Christmas gathering being the coolest person around with this snowman guy!” declared one user.
“I make a parmesan snowman with just garlic and Worcestershire. Simple and so good!” chimed in another.
“Have a party Saturday and my first thought was, let’s see if Macy has any ideas, and of course you did not disappoint. So cute! Thanks!!” exclaimed a third.
