2023 Is The Year Of The Rabbit, But What’s In Store For Your Chinese Zodiac This Year?

While celebrating the Lunar New Year this past Sunday, January 22, we said farewell to the Tiger and hello to the Year of the Rabbit.
For countless people, this holiday is the perfect time to check in with the stars and determine what might lie ahead over the next 12 months.
Many people also already know the basics. In essence, the 12-year Chinese zodiac calendar is symbolized by 12 animals. And to determine what your zodiac animal is, you have to check the year you were born.
For instance, if you were born in 1961, 1973, 1985, or 1997, then your zodiac animal is the Ox. On the other hand, if you were born in 1965, 1977, 1989, or 2001, then your zodiac animal is the Snake.
Then, once you figure out what year you were born and its corresponding animal, you can start to determine what the Year of the Rabbit might mean for you.
Rabbit – 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023
If you were born in the Year of the Rabbit, then you will be facing your “Ben Ming Nian”– or your own zodiac year. Due to this, followers believe that you might face more instability and disruption in your life in 2023.
You can expect to have some big changes in various areas of your life– including health, career, and relationships.
And even though this might be nerve-wracking, you must remember that it is not all bad. Instead, try to anticipate these changes with a positive mindset and look at them as an opportunity to grow.

Rabbits should also work to attract positive people and energy and participate in joyous events whenever possible.
Dragon – 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024
There are no unlucky stars affecting people born in the Year of the Dragon. So, Dragons are believed to have a great 2023.
Those who were born during the summer or autumn months might feel stressed or encounter some health concerns. However, Dragons should try their best to avoid overthinking this year.
And on a romantic note, singles who were born in the Year of the Dragon may meet their romantic match this year. Their lucky colors are metallics like silver or gold.
Snake – 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025
People born during one of the Snake years will reportedly enjoy abundance and good news this year. This is because the fortune star, Cai Xing, and the travel star, Yi Ma Xing, will be reigning over you this year.
At work, you may get some new opportunities, directions, and advancements. However, with all of these changes, it is important for Snakes to strike a good life balance and remember to take a break whenever needed.
In terms of romance, those born during the Year of the Snake may also find love while traveling to new places. You are advised to wear gold or blue and travel either north or west.
Horse – 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026
This year, people born during the Year of the Horse will enjoy Taohua Xing– or the Peach Blossom Star– reigning over them. And that is always a good sign.
In your professional life, you will be granted new opportunities and meet some guardians who will help you thrive.
You will also enjoy strong personal relationships– making 2023 a great year to pop the question or tie the knot.
Horses, though, have also been advised to remain on the lookout for their family’s mental health and physical well-being.
Goat – 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015, 2027
In 2023, people born in the Year of the Goat will greet Tai Sui– which generally means they will have good luck. At the same time, though, this year might also be quite exhausting for Goats.
For this reason, it is imperative for you to prioritize self-care, rest, and self-exploration. Reflect on your values and interests, remain humble at work, and take care to observe more.
And thankfully, Goats will not have to deal with tumultuous relationships this year. Instead, 2023 is supposed to be smooth sailing.

If you were born in the Year of the Monkey, then we have some great news. You will be in perfect harmony with Tai Sui in 2023. In turn, you will be praised and admired at work this year.
On the relationship front, though, Monkeys are prone to drama and arguments. So, this year is a great time to work on improving communication.
Your color palette for 2023 is also beige and yellow, and for travel inspiration, you should head west.
Rooster – 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, 2029
Bad news for people born in the Year of the Rooster: you will be clashing with Tai Sui in 2023. This means that over the next 12 months, you might be confronted with various changes and instability.
But, the best way for Roosters to deal with it is to embrace the chaos. Also, get out and travel more.
Remember to stay positive and remain self-aware. Finally, keep in mind that any changes that come to you are for the better.
Roosters can also wear more brown and yellow to smooth out their year and travel north or west.
Dog – 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, 2030
People born in the Year of the Dog are in union with Tai Sui this year. So, 2023 is expected to be a pleasant 12 months with large advancements in terms of career and finances.
Although, humility is especially important for Dogs this year. Remember to listen to friends and loved ones, and allow their advice to lead you to great benefits.
Also, your lucky colors are blue and silver, and you are encouraged to travel north this year.
Pig – 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031
Pigs will also be saying hello to Tai Sui this year, meaning that 2023 should be an overall positive year. Conversely, though, greeting Tai Sui might also impact your health due to the additional workload.
So, striking a work-life balance is crucial for Pigs this year. You may reap professional success, but you have to be willing to prioritize teamwork.
In terms of romance, people born in the Year of the Pig are also expected to meet new friends and potentially forge new romantic relationships.
Rat – 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020
People born during the Year of the Rat will be in conflict with Tai Sui this year. So, you are expected to endure a tougher 12 months.
Always remember that this is not all bad, though. Rats simply have to be more cautious with their work and health. Also, be aware that you may encounter miscommunication or minor injuries this year.
For good luck, wear happy colors such as orange or pink and travel to warmer destinations.
Ox – 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021

Oxen will reportedly stumble upon new opportunities, and their finances will soar to new heights. You may even travel more for personal or work reasons.
But, with all of this additional travel, remember to keep up with your health. Finally, Oxen might find luck in romance this year.
Tiger – 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022
Last year was “Ben Ming Nian” for people born during the Year of the Tiger. So, this year, Tigers will see that any challenges or instabilities will start to get better during 2023.
As we enter this new year, though, Tigers must remember that patience is critical– because these changes will take time.
So, prioritize “me-time” and take things slow in any romantic relationship. Also, wear brown, blue, and yellow, and head west and north for good luck.
