After Her Fiancé Cheated On Her, She Still Made Him Pay Her Back For Their Wedding Expenses, Even Though She Suddenly Came Into A Ton Of Money, And Now That He Knows She’s Wealthy, He’s Mad She Did This

“I left with low 7 figures. I only shared the specifics with my parents; even my BF isn’t aware of the exact figure. I bought a very nice central mews house in a really nice part of the city, decorated it, and took myself on a few holidays. My boss later rehired me on a part-time basis for his new venture, and between that and the interest off the remaining capital, I live very comfortably.”

Well, when New Year’s Eve rolled around, she made plans to go to a party at one of her friend’s homes, but then she ended up saying she could host the party.

Not wanting to make anyone feel left out, she let her ex know that he and his new girlfriend were certainly invited.

As soon as her ex stepped foot through her front door, he wanted to know about when she purchased her home and what updates she had made to it. She didn’t lie to him about when she bought her place, and she figured his line of questioning was an attempt at being cordial.

Several days after the party, her ex sent her a message to say thank you, and she replied to him a bit.

“We had a little back and forth, and then he sent; ‘ok, so this is a little awkward, but seeing where you live now, I’m honestly a little surprised that you insisted I repay you for the wedding debt in full. If I’m honest, had I known of your financial circumstances, I’d probably have stopped paying. You knew I wasn’t in a great financial place,'” she said.

“I left him on read for a while and then replied with this admittedly cold retort; ‘The terms were agreed upon long before my circumstances changed. And please keep in mind half of that debt was, in fact, the deposit for the flat that you continued to live in. This is the last you and I will discuss on the matter.'”

She’s honestly wondering if it was wrong of her to expect her ex to pay her back even though she came into a lot of money after their financial arrangement. What do you think?
