It was no longer a matter of if they’d have a third roommate. It was a matter of when.
“We both pay bills directly down the middle, and I had just as much right to have valid input on these things,” she explained. “But he just made that decision alone.”
She eventually accepted what was to come, given that it would be nice to split the rent three ways. But when she told him that she’d take the largest bedroom, he insisted on charging her more for the rent, something he didn’t mention when he offered it to her.
Then, he said that if she stayed in the small room she was already in, her rent would remain the same as it is now, even though someone else would end up in a significantly larger room.
Sadly, this led them into a big fight. W suddenly started saying that he does everything and all the chores in the apartment while she just sits around. He then told her that life wasn’t fair and that she needed to just deal.
After the fight, she decided she would move out in the next two weeks. She doesn’t plan on telling him, but she won’t try to hide it either.
