His friend just replied back by introducing his girlfriend before mentioning his girlfriend went to that college, so that was why they were wearing those jerseys.
He pointed out to his friend that he should really be wearing the jersey of the college he attended instead before saying his friend and his girlfriend had to leave.
His friend was shocked that he was being kicked out of the party, and he argued with his friend that if he had decided to wear that jersey to any other game, it would maybe be alright, but now was not the time to show support for the opposing team.
His friend began calling him names, and he just kept insisting he needed to leave. His friend and his girlfriend did end up leaving, but later on, his friend texted him pretty angrily.
He knows that he definitely didn’t make the best first impression with his friend’s girlfriend, and now he’s wondering if it was mean of him to kick them out of his March Madness party.
