So, she went ahead and answered Jake’s friend in Spanish, revealing to him that she’s known the language all along.
“Jake got angry and red,” she remembered.
“He didn’t say anything in front of his friend, but on the way home, after dropping [him] off at the hotel, he started shouting [about] how I humiliated him.”
Jake was incredibly upset with her, and she suggested he return to his apartment. Unfortunately, he hasn’t apologized to her for his outburst and thinks she should apologize instead for ’embarrassing’ him.
Was it wrong of her not to tell Jake about speaking Spanish, or should he apologize for getting angry with her?
