However, since Bobby did not exhibit good behavior throughout April, she decided not to bring him to the barbecue. So, while all the other kids were with her, Bobby was in another class for the day.
When she let Bobby’s mother know he wasn’t going to the barbecue with the other students, she became furious and started contacting the principal over an entire week.
“She has been sending emails complaining to myself and the principal all week about how her child should also be able to participate, and it is unfair,” she said.
“She thinks we should make an exception since he has behavioral issues and feels we could be targeting him.”
On the other hand, she believes she was being fair as a teacher and simply didn’t invite him because he didn’t get all his good noodle stickers like the other students.
Should she have let Bobby go to the barbecue?
