His Friends Called Him Rude For Ordering More Food On A Night Out And Making The Bill Even More Expensive, Which Came Out To Close To $800

The total bill was already close to $800, and the group was still planning on getting deserts, aside from him and his girlfriend.

Additionally, he and his girlfriend hadn’t ordered any drinks that night and had gotten significantly less food than everyone else at the table.

“If they communicated prior to the dinner as an obligation, that’s one matter, but suddenly telling us after everyone is mostly done eating dinner seems sketchy at the very least,” he explained.

So, he and his girlfriend had a quick text conversation about what their next move would be, and they both agreed that they would order expensive desserts for everyone to share to raise the price of the bill even higher.

Then, when the bill came, some people in the group could no longer afford to pay for their fair share of the total.

His friend’s partner was one of these people, and his friend accused him and his girlfriend of intentionally raising the price to be out of their budget.

They were bickering, and he tried to explain that it was kind of rude for them to expect everyone to pay for stuff, but his friend argued that it was his birthday and that it was perfectly reasonable.

“To keep the peace, I paid for only his meal but left his drink and dessert tab for everyone else to split,” he said.

“I left with my girlfriend and paid our bills. When we were leaving, they were still arguing over the bill.”

The following morning, he noticed multiple social media posts made by his friends, calling him rude for ordering extra food and raising the bill at the party.

While his girlfriend is on his side and thinks that he did the right thing, he’s still upset by the whole situation.
