Suddenly, her mother-in-law took the phone and escalated the conversation even further, referring to her as a broke mother who couldn’t even afford to buy her child proper clothes, so they had to waste their money in order to clothe him properly.
Confused by how negative this whole conversation was going, she tried explaining that she had never asked them to buy her son expensive clothes in the first place, but her in-laws were still angry. So, she and her husband decided to just end the phone call and head to church.
However, once they got there, they were locked out of the church because word had gotten out that they had been disrespectful toward the highly honored Pastors in the church.
“My in-laws apparently told everyone I was just using them for money and married their son and trapped him with a baby to try to ‘inherit’ something from them. Which is untrue,” she stated.
Even now, she is still being talked negatively about.
