If You Need Some Ideas For Delicious Summer Sandwiches You Can Take With You For A Day At The Beach, Here You Go

One of the best feelings is getting out of the ocean in the middle of a long afternoon on the beach and having a tasty, filling sandwich waiting for you.
Beach sandwiches over the summer are like a rite of passage for a successful day on the sand. As kids, crafting and packing the beach sandwiches were roles usually left to our moms.
Now that we’re adults, it’s up to us.
TikTok content creator Zachariah (@zzzachariah) recently made a video about the beauty of packing two sandwiches for a long beach day.
“You need two sandwiches for a beach day,” says Zach.
“Cause when you first get there at like, 9:30 in the morning, you’re already thinking about that turkey sandwich. And it’s okay, ’cause it’s kind of like the ‘breakfast sandwich.’ So you make a little one for that, just to kind of take the edge off, and then around 1:30 pm when everyone’s getting hungry again, there’s your second sandwich.”
Whether it’s your first or second sandwich of the day, here are a few great beach day sandwich ideas that will keep you full and happy during your afternoon in the sun.
Brie, Fig, and Prosciutto Sandwich
Not only will this sandwich make you feel extra classy, but it’s also great for not getting your bread super soggy. Combine sliced brie cheese, thinly sliced prosciutto, fig jam, and greens of your choice on a hearty baguette or ciabatta roll for a beach sandwich that is sure to make your friends jealous.

‘Chickpea Tuna’ Salad Wrap
If you’re a vegetarian or vegan desperate to switch up your go-to beach sandwich, try chickpea tuna salad! It sounds strange, but vegetarians and vegans have been making this mashed chickpea mixture for years as an alternative to tuna salad.
While there are a ton of chickpea tuna salad recipes out there, most of them involve combining smashed chickpeas, a scoop of vegan or regular mayonnaise, chopped celery, dill relish, red onion, a squeeze of lemon, seasonings of your choice, like Old Bay, to make it a bit closer to tuna salad.
Add your chickpea tuna salad and some greens to a wrap to avoid mess while eating it on the shore.
Muffuletta
This sandwich, created by Italian immigrants in New Orleans, Louisiana, is guaranteed to please those who love a salty bite.
To make a Muffuletta at home, stack your favorite cured Italian meats like ham, salami, mortadella, and sliced provolone and mozzarella cheese on a nice hunk of Italian or French bread.
Don’t forget to add the olive salad spread, which you can make at home or buy online. It’s a sandwich that’s bound to keep you full and satisfied.
Hawaiian Roll Sandwiches
If you’re trying to pack beach sandwiches for a group, look no further than packaged Hawaiian rolls.
Brands like King’s Hawaiian keep their dinner rolls stuck together in their packaging, which makes them a great template for making plenty of little slider-style sandwiches for a group of people at the beach.
Simply take out your pack of rolls and carefully cut them through the middle to separate the tops from the bottoms while keeping the rolls stuck together.
Then, add your cold cuts, cheeses, and toppings of choice before adding the tops of the rolls back on.
Next, simply use a knife to cut down each row of sandwiches and separate them before putting them back in their packaging to take them to the beach. Then, when it’s time to eat, everyone can grab their little sandwiches.
You can add condiments to your rolls as you assemble the sandwiches or bring packets of mayonnaise and mustard so everyone can add whatever they want to their own sandwich.
Hopefully, these ideas have inspired your next lunch break on the beach. And remember, if you’re able to, pack two sandwiches!
