His Girlfriend Just Admitted She Doesn’t Want Kids, And It Crushed Him To Hear This, Since She Knows He Desperately Wants To Be A Dad

This 29-year-old guy met his 25-year-old girlfriend six years ago when they were in college, and they are both currently working towards completing their Masters degrees.
He’s positive his girlfriend is his soulmate, and he knows she feels the exact same way about him.
They have built a wonderful life together, even though they both have jobs and are working hard to study, so they don’t get to spend a ton of time with one another.
“Everyone and his grandma knows I want to have children in my future, I am very vocal about it,” he explained.
“It’s not even a question for me, I always saw myself as a dad and think of starting a family as the natural progression of my life.”
“I am willing to take reduced hours to do the care work, I am willing to work 3 jobs to support everyone. She has the brains and big ambition, so it would’ve probably been the former.”
A couple of months ago, they were at a family get-together, and his girlfriend remarked about being “the cool aunt,” and it really rubbed him the wrong way.
When they later arrived back home, he questioned her about her comment, which made it seem to him like she never intended to have children.
His girlfriend looked like he had caught her doing something terrible, and she pleaded with him to wait to talk about this until after they finished their exams for school.

He said he would wait to talk to her, but his stomach began to sink as it dawned on him that he was probably right.
They finally got around to having a talk about children very recently, and his girlfriend admitted to him with tears in her eyes that she does not want children at all and doesn’t envision a future with her being a mom.
She then said she knows he wants to be a dad, and although he should have walked away from their relationship then and there, he didn’t.
“Should I leave my soulmate in hopes of meeting someone that clicks this perfectly with me but wants kids?” he wondered.
“Should I keep the relationship going to see if she is serious? How long does one wait for that?”
“I feel very betrayed, soul crushed and hopeless for my future.”
