He Accidentally Fell Asleep On A Woman During A Flight, But Her Boyfriend Was Furious And Accused Him Of Flirting

The woman’s partner was evidently still irritated that she hadn’t switched seats with him because he continued complaining about it to her, and they kept fighting through whispers.

He used to be in the military, so because of this background, it’s not difficult for him to fall asleep while sitting down, and he normally is able to stay in one position while sleeping.

“But, for some reason, combining the medications, maybe, I end up falling asleep and waking up with my head on this woman. I don’t know how it happened. But not once did she wake me or nudge me to move,” he said.

After sleeping for maybe 20 minutes, he woke up and noticed that he had been leaning against her, and he told her he was sorry.

In response, the woman smiled at him and told him not to worry because she wasn’t annoyed by it, and she asked if he wanted to use her sleeping pillow.

“Hearing us talking, the man opens his eyes and takes out his earphones. He’s got anger flashing on his face. He starts arguing with me and accuses me of flirting. I don’t engage much. She talks him down. I fall back asleep,” he explained.

Once again, he leaned against the woman while sleeping, even though he was doing his best to lean away from her and tilt his head away from her. He wasn’t sure how he fell asleep on her a second time.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t lean toward the window too closely to his right because his right arm was the one that was in a sling.

“I wake up leaning on her. I’m thrown off by it. I apologize. She starts insisting it’s okay. Then he wakes up. It’s Groundhog Day. He’s angry again and calls me a jerk. This nosy old lady in front of us turns around and gets involved. ‘Why do you keep doing this? Do you understand English?'” he shared.

Upon reflection, he doesn’t know why this older woman said that. He’s Korean and was born in the UK, so he doesn’t have an Asian accent. While he doesn’t know for sure if the old woman was prejudiced or not, he wonders if she misinterpreted what was going on.

For the last time, he told the man he was sorry, hoping that the situation would now be over and done with for good.
