The fresh veggies, crunch, and delicious combination of flavors from a salad should not be overlooked.
But an Asian chicken salad takes salad as you know it to a whole new level.
TikToker Selina White (@bahamamamacooks) has a recipe for an Asian-inspired chicken salad that is so stinkin’ easy to throw together. The end result of this dish is restaurant quality.
In fact, her recipe was featured in a New Orleans restaurant called Traps. And everyone loved it! It’s that good.
No Asian salad is complete without wonton crisps. So first, cut up a dumpling wrapper into small strips.
Fry them in some grapeseed oil until they turn a nice golden brown color.
Next, season two chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, and cajun seasoning. Cook them in a pan, then set them aside while you work on the rest of the salad.
Arrange chopped pieces of butter lettuce, cabbage, sweet peppers, cucumbers, scallions, grated carrots, and chunks of avocado onto a salad plate. Top it off with a handful of cilantro.
For the dressing, pour a quarter cup of grapeseed oil, two tablespoons of soy sauce, a tablespoon of brown sugar, one tablespoon of honey, two tablespoons of rice wine vinegar, and one and a half tablespoons of sesame oil into a food processor.

Then, add a quarter cup of grated carrots for some sweetness and texture. Next, mince two cloves of garlic, squeeze in the juice from half of a lime, and throw in some ginger as well. Mix the ingredients together.
Finally, crumble the wonton crisps over the salad. Slice the chicken and add that to the salad, then pour the gingery dressing all over.
“This salad is my everything. I love it! It’s such a flavor bomb in your mouth. You have to try this salad. It is so light, refreshing, and the flavors are just so incredible,” said Selina as she dug into her salad at the end of the video.
