A year and a half ago, this 45-year-old man got married to his 54-year-old wife, and back then, he realized his wife was acting weird about her phone and keeping it constantly with her.
So, he bought her a new one so he could take advantage of going through what was on her old one. When he went digging, he found some shocking things.
He learned that his wife’s 58-year-old ex-boyfriend from college reached out to her about a year before he met his wife.
The conversation kicked off with his wife’s ex telling his wife that she was the “one” for him and would be forever. Now, this guy is married with a child.
“The text messages showed him telling her he loved her over 400 times from that day forward, including during the time we were engaged and even married,” he explained.
“2 weeks before our wedding, he texted her, “I love you more than you can ever imagine.” Some other highlights included her texting him a pic in a bikini (which I had taken for her) and him responding that she has [an incredible body].”
When he found all of the messages, he informed his wife that she had to stop speaking to her ex if they wanted to make sure their marriage would last.
His wife simply said she’s super great friends with her ex, and he’s not a threat in any way since he’s married and lives in a different state.
Despite his request that his wife cut her ex out of her life, she has refused to do this. She kept texting and even calling her ex for the first year of their marriage, and that became a point of contention for them.
