The other night, TikToker @imtheproblem was so scared that she had to sleep with the lights on after hearing a story about a woman who was in a long-term relationship with a guy.
The guy was an only child, and he ended up passing away, so there was no one to take care of his elderly mother.
The woman got a new job and moved away, but felt guilty about leaving her partner’s mom on her own. At least the mom was able to keep her son’s large dog to have some companionship.
“Before she moves away, she does make sure that his mom is moved to a ground-floor apartment, and she also makes sure that she has somebody to walk the dog several times a week,” said @imtheproblem.
It just so happened that the property manager at the new place had his own dogs, so he agreed to help out. Every time she called her late boyfriend’s mom, she seemed to be really grateful for the help this guy was giving her.
Eventually, the mom passed away, so she went over to the apartment to clean it out. She ran into the manager and was horrified by what she saw.
He was dressed head to toe in her late boyfriend’s clothes. She tried to tell herself it was just a coincidence, or maybe the mom had gifted the clothes to him.
“She tells the man that she would like to take him for dinner, just to say thank you for everything that he had done for them, and he accepts,” said @imtheproblem.
At dinner, the man explained that he was wearing her ex’s clothes and hadn’t thought about how weird it would seem. But she noticed that it wasn’t just the clothes.

Some of his mannerisms were eerily similar to those of her ex. At one point, she asked if she would be able to see Zeus, the dog. He told her that he would bring Zeus around the next day.
However, he never showed up. Later, he sent her a message, saying that he had taken Zeus out early on a maintenance call. He planned to grab dinner with her so she could see Zeus then.
But she replied that she was busy. He asked if she was going on a date, and she clarified that she had a boyfriend and was going to see a friend.
After that, he stopped responding. When she returned to her ex’s mom’s apartment later that night, she rummaged through her suitcase for her pajamas, but realized that the inside of her suitcase was soaking wet. It also smelled strongly of urine.
The only thing she could think to do was call the manager. But she heard his phone ringing from inside the apartment. She grabbed the stuff that was not soiled, ran out of the apartment, and drove to her friend’s place to stay the night.
In the morning, the manager called her back. He was horrified to hear what had happened. He claimed that he had dropped Zeus off at the apartment and picked him up later that night.
He ended up forgetting his phone inside the apartment. That morning, he had let himself into the apartment, worried that something was wrong.
She went back to the apartment to finish cleaning, but she couldn’t find any of the old videos of her and her partner. She thought they must’ve gotten lost in the move.
She then came across a small shoebox with a plastic bag inside. The bag was filled with ashes. She had no idea what the ashes were from.
It wasn’t until the funeral that she realized they were Zeus’ ashes. Someone came up to her at the funeral and asked if her partner’s mom would be buried with Zeus. Just then, the manager walked in, wearing her late boyfriend’s clothes.
She never found the videos of her and her ex. She thinks the manager took the videos, watched them, studied her boyfriend’s movements, and copied them. She doesn’t know what his goal was, but it couldn’t have been anything good.
