According to TikToker @shanman9390, a woman named Luanne from Georgia accidentally brought home a haunted jewelry box from a thrift store.
She and her daughter went to a thrift store and bought an antique wooden jewelry box. When you opened it up, a ballerina popped out, and it started playing music. Her daughter just had to have it.
For the first few days, everything was fine. But one night, the whole family was startled awake by her daughter’s screams. Apparently, her daughter had seen a girl wearing a white dress when she woke up.
The girl was standing at the foot of the bed with her head down, just staring at her.
When she screamed, the little girl disappeared. Luanne thought her daughter was having a nightmare, so they didn’t think anything of it. But a couple of days later, the same thing happened again.
Luanne heard her daughter screaming, so she ran to her room. Her daughter said that a loud bang had woken her up. Her eyes were drawn to the jewelry box, and when she looked at it, the box started sliding across the dresser.
Multiple similar events continued happening. About once or twice a week, her daughter would wake up out of nowhere. One time, she even caught her daughter talking to somebody, but no one was in the room with her.
Finally, Luanne connected the dots. She realized that the jewelry box must be haunted because it was always involved in the strange things that occurred around the house.
“To make a long story short, they got rid of the jewelry box because her daughter said it made her uncomfortable,” said @shanman9390.

“And after they got rid of the jewelry box, all the weird phenomena, all the weird things happening inside the daughter’s bedroom stopped immediately.”
So, it’s important to be careful when buying used items. You might just get more than what you bargained for. Many TikTok users shared similar stories in the comments section.
“I got a lamp from an antique store, and it brought a demon with it. It was terrifying,” commented one user.
“We bought a small violin. It was miniature in size at a garage sale. We were young at the time. Might have been 1979 or so. That sucker would play music by itself; no batteries or anything to make it play. Scariest thing we ever witnessed,” wrote another.
“We bought a Strawberry Shortcake doll. The most eerie feeling radiating off that thing!!! I feel things, especially from rummage sales and thrift stores! Be very careful what you purchase!!! Never dolls!!!” exclaimed a third.
“I bought a vintage evening bag once that I believe had an attachment. Every time I opened the bag, it smelled like old 1950s perfume was just sprayed. Other weird things began to happen to me. I donated the purse back to the store where I bought it, and they took it seriously and threw it away,” added someone else.
