Since TikToker Emma (@thepumpkinlady) and her family live in a haunted house that was built in 1856, it’s just a given that they would experience spooky activity from time to time.
The house may have been part of the Underground Railroad and is located between Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio. Emma also buys antiques, and some of those items may have spirits attached to them.
“One of my very favorite stories has to do with a mirror that I bought six years ago,” she said. “It is this beautiful gold ornate mirror, and when I went and purchased it from this auction, no one really fought me for it, and it kind of surprised me because it’s beautiful, but it’s fairly large.”
“It has one main mirror, and then it has a trim piece around it that’s made up of smaller mirrors.”
After she purchased it, the auctioneer came up to her and said it was a family heirloom. He couldn’t believe that she had been able to buy it for so cheap.
Apparently, the daughters of the original owners wrapped the mirror in quilts to transport it from one place to another for their mother because she had loved it that much.
Emma then asked the auctioneer if he knew anything about the history of the mirror. According to the auctioneer, the main mirror dated back to the 1800s, while the smaller mirrors were from the late 1700s.
The smaller mirrors had been imported from Italy. At one point, the mirror was hung up in a house of ill repute.
Emma was excited to take the mirror home. It didn’t occur to her that there might be something attached to it. She hung the mirror in the formal room in the front part of the house with a couple of other mirrors to create a whole display.

That night, she woke up to someone playfully flicking her between the eyes. Still half-asleep, she thought it was her husband, so she punched him in the arm.
He rolled over and asked why she did that. She accused him of flicking her, but he claimed that he hadn’t touched her. Emma thought she was losing her mind because she could still feel it.
Later, she posted a picture of her mirror display on Facebook and received a message from a random lady. She asked Emma if she liked the spirits that were attached to her new mirror.
Emma was stunned because she hadn’t posted anything about the mirror’s history.
The lady explained that she was a psychic and told her about the spirits attached to the mirror. There was a playful and fun lady wearing a fancy ball gown.
She loved Emma’s house and was glad that Emma ended up with the mirror. She worked in a house of ill repute and had a great sense of humor.
The other night, the spirit lady had tried to wake Emma as a joke. Emma was shocked by the psychic’s readings and confirmed that everything she said was accurate.
Currently, the mirror is not on display in Emma’s house, but she still has it.
