A new day, a new light pink phone for girly-girls. The Samsung SGH-E870 is a triband clamshell GSM phone that has GPRS, Bluetooth, a speakerphone, a 1.3 megapixel camera, supports Java applications, weighs just 85 grams, and it has a crisp TFT LCD on the inside and a color OLED display on the outside. It’s available in Chic White, Valentine Pink and Chilli blue. The SGH-E870 comes with a nice 80mb of internal memory which can be expanded via a Transflash/micro SD slot. The phone retails for about $330 USD. Cnet Asia reviewed it and gave it a Very Good rating of 7.4.
2006 has definitely been the year of pink and other colorful phones, no doubt an improvement over the blandness of previous years. But frustratingly most of the phones that are available in pink are not high-end smartphones that can do it all. Would it be so much to ask for a Motorola Q or a Treo that came in Pink too?
