Chordette Gem Adds Bluetooth & USB to Ordinary Hi-Fi Systems

The Chordette Gem is a curious-looking device that works as an add on for your Hi-fi system. We’re not used to coming accross add-ons for Hi-fi devices, but this one actually makes sense. The Chordette Gem adds bluetooth A2DP to your Hi-fi system as well as a USB port so that you can connect your PC to your Hi-Fi. And why would you want to have Buetooth connected to your Hi-Fi system? For starters, you can then connect your cell phone or A2DP enabled MP3 player to your Hi-FI system for streaming music wirelessly. The Chordette Gem retails for 399GBP (about $800 USD), making it out of reach for most ordinary folks and really left as an indulgence for audiophiles. And to further justify the high price, they’re even selling it in a selection of colors including red, gold, green, white, purple and black. But really, if there was any gadget that didn’t need to come in different color choices, this is certainly it.
