With the Windows 7 launch upon us, Microsoft has pulled out all the stops, even when it comes to USB keys. These totally adorable “USB People” were given to us as a press kit for a Windows 7 event. Now this is what I call creative marketing. I’m a PC – Windows 7 USB person sports a white t-shirt that is obviously a play on words in regards to those Apple commercials. Strangely the male and female version kinda look like the PC guy from the commercials…I wonder if that was on purpose too. The legs move and so do the arms, almost like Lego Minifigs. In any case its a totally unique marketing strategy that can be done by any other company too or the average person. USB People offers custom “USB People” flash drives that you can customize or choose from a selection they currently have. Capacities range from 256MB to 8GB.
