Portable battery maker mophie is partnering with (RED) in 2012 to help support the global fight against AIDS. As part of the effort to ensure an AIDS free generation in 2015 by preventing mother-to-child AIDS transmission during birth, mophie will be selling special (RED) editions of their supplemental battery packs for the iPhone and tablets starting in early 2012.
5% of all profits from the sales of (MOPHIE)RED products will go to Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Malaria, and Tuberculosis. As part of the line, mophie is releasing special editions of the juice pack air and juice pack plus (which has a 2000 mAh battery capacity), external batteries for the iPhone 4/4S that give the device over twice the battery life, while doubling as protective cases. Both will be available in January 2012. Starting tomorrow, special (RED) editions of the juice pack reserve, boost, and powerstation will be on sale. The reserve and boost are pocket-sized iPhone and iPod Touch chargers that have 700 mAh and 2000 mAh battery capacities, respectively. The powerstation has a 4000 mAh battery capacity and is designed to work with the iPad, though it should work with any USB enabled tablet or smartphone.
All of the (MOPHIE)RED products will be on sale from mophie’s website here.
