LG to Introduce 55" OLED HDTV at CES 2012
LG is set to unveil its 55” OLED HDTV at CES this month, and if you opt to buy one, you might want to be gentle. LG is claiming that their television is an incredible 4 mm thick, with an almost invisible bezel, making for a sleek, minimalist design like no other that is on the market right now.
LG is also touting the speed and color quality advantages of their OLED technology. The display will be 1,000 times faster than LED/LCD displays, which should cut down on blurring or bleeding of colors. LG’s OLED display uses 4-color pixels (red, green, blue, and white; as opposed to most other displays that use only red, green, and blue) that are said to keep color more consistent, regardless of lighting or viewing angle.
Keep an eye out for more news about LG’s 55” OLED HDTV next week, as CES gets underway.
