The Chevrolet Impala might be best known for being the law enforcement car of choice, but with the debut of the 2014 Impala, this is one car that’s not just for cops anymore. The 2014 Chevrolet Impala turns up the sex appeal with its continued sleek, yet muscular design that harks back to Chevy’s muscle car days. Looking very familiar to the 2013 Impala, the 2014 Impala now sports an interior overhaul that features an advanced MyLink infotainment system, rear camera system, ten standard airbags, BOSE active noise cancellation technology, and an 8” color touch screen. The dashboard, seating, console, and overall interiors, give the Impala full size sedan a luxurious feel that is becoming standard with Chevrolet vehicles.
The Impala had its coming out party on Wednesday in New York City, and if Chevy was looking to impress the urban lifestyle crowd, they certainly have. The crowd was excited with the MyLink system and generous leg room for front and back passengers. Gas mileage isn’t too shabby at 19MPG for city driving and 29MPG for highway miles as well. Mostly the crowd was just wowed with lush interiors and sporty exteriors that were begging for you to take it on a drag race.
The 2014 Impala will be offered with three engine choices, including two four-cylinder powertrains and a 3.6L V-6 engine available at launch. The Ecotec 2.4L engine with eAssist will be available at the end of 2013 and provide an estimated 35 mpg of highway driving.
Pricing for the 2014 Impala will range from $27k to upwards of $37k depending on the models and add-on packages.
