The Fugoo Style was one of our favorite portable Bluetooth speakers from last year, packing solid, 360 degree sound into a small, fashionable case that resembles a clutch. Not only that, it was one of the most rugged and weather-resistant speakers we saw come out in 2014, too. As we learned at CES 2015, Fugoo is going bigger this year with the Fugoo XL, with more drivers and more volume and the same great ruggedness and battery life of the smaller model.
Gary Elsasser of Fugoo gave MommyTech TV’s Andrea Smith a look at the Fugoo XL. The new, larger version of the Fugoo Style is looking to power your next pool party with eight drivers spread out across both sides of the speaker, producing sound that emanates in all directions. It’s also great for pool parties because you can knock it into the pool without worrying about having to buy a new speaker—the Fugoo XL can float and is waterproof up to three feet for 30 minutes.
And, like with the Fugoo Style, the Fugoo XL features a removable, interchangeable cover that can be washed if you choose to really take advantage of the speaker’s ruggedness and drag it through the mud for a bit. There will be multiple interchangeable jackets available, including the Style and the Sport, so you can get just the right look, whether you’re partying poolside or getting active somewhere in the great outdoors.
