Good news ladies. Now there is a car made just for you. At FashFest in London Cosmopolitan unveiled a car it produced in collaboration with Spanish automaker Seat. And if you were worried that this was going to be highly offensive to women, you would be right. According to Jalopnik, the Seat Mii, as it is called, features jeweled wheels, purple exteriors, champagne-colored mirrors, and headlights that mimic eyes in eyeliner. Because no woman wants to drive a car unless it is purple with bedazzled wheels.
Apparently it is also “fun to drive and easy to park.” The vehicle’s “exclusive design and thoughtful feminine touches” make it perfect for “impromptu karaoke performances, last-minute wardrobe changes, dramatic gossip sessions and emergency lunch-hour kips.” Is this for real? First of all, we don’t always use our car for dramatic gossip sessions. Sometimes we just really want to sing along to Taylor Swift. We assume that she is always on the radio in this girly car, right?
As you can imagine the backlash on the internet has been strong, as most people don’t think a car designed for women should focus on the color and stereotypical female accessories. Also, why would you want a car designed by a magazine best known for giving you sex tips? Well, maybe you do.
