Utopia Diamond Encrusted Headphones Cost More Than a Tesla

Focal gives a new meaning to high-end headphones with Utopia by Tournaire. Amidst other jaw-dropping features, the headband has a trilogy setting that is made of 18-karat gold encrusted with a whopping 6.5 karats of diamonds, all done by hand. This luxury item can be yours for $120,000.

Focal’s Utopia by Tournaire is built off of their Utopia model that features entirely unique open-backed full-range speaker drivers with pure Beryllium ’M’-shaped domes for a sound like you’ve never experienced before. The magic of that sound engineering is paired with the luxury of a carbon fibre yoke and a true lambskin leather headband and padded ear cuffs that is then enhanced with the Tournaire gold and diamond touch. Surprisingly, these are not wireless, rather they come with a cable that was hand selected so as to provide the ultimate fidelity of sound at a low impedance that also allows for low crosstalk, and electromagnetic shielding from interference.

A portion of the profits from this $120,000 pair of headphones will be given to a specific charity,  the P’tit LOUIS association, dedicated to saving 8-year-old Louis Biscini who suffers from a rare degenerative disease, spinal muscular atrophy type 1. You can also buy a specially designed stand just for these headphones for an extra $12,000. This is one of those products that is so fancy you don’t order it online, rather you call a French number and set it up or if you are in the neighborhood of Paris you can drop by for an in person showing. See the Utopia by Tournaire site for more details.
