In my younger years, I really believed that the most expensive beauty buys did the best job. Boy, was I pretty uneducated.
There are plenty of drugstore beauty buys that do just as great a job as their more expensive, designer counterparts. Honestly, I’m convinced the ones on this list do an even better job, and they’re all under $10 on Amazon!
Let’s get right to my favorite drugstore beauty buys that have earned a cult following for good reasons.
L’Oreal Paris Lash Paradise Mascara
This is my absolute favorite mascara I have ever tried! I buy this in bulk now and it’s the only mascara I use.
Nothing adds volume and lash length like this does! It doesn’t get clumpy and it washes off easily with makeup remover.
I use Washable Blackest Black and I apply at least 2 coats.
It comes in a variety of different colors with a waterproof or washable option.
Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Strobing Stick
Sometimes it’s downright hard to add a little shine without coming off like a clown. If you want a creamy, shimmery, natural-looking highlighter, this is for you!
I like to swipe this on my cheekbones and then dab some on my eyes as a base for lighter-colored eye shadows.
Pro tip: put this on underneath (not on top of) any face powder you wear to avoid cakiness.
Maybelline New York Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm
Keeping your lips in tip-top shape over the winter months is the struggle bus.
Mine always get dry and cracked no matter what I use, but I find Baby Lips helps give them a moisture boost with a little added color.
Pink Punch is my favorite color, but it comes in a few different fun ones or you can get it as just a lip balm.
Revlon ColorStay Longwear Liquid Foundation
Revlon’s ColorStay Longwear Liquid Foundation is hands down my favorite foundation you can possibly buy in a drugstore.
I honestly like this as much as my Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation and it comes in so many different shades so it’s easy to find the perfect match.
It feels lightweight on your face, but it provides great coverage and does stay put all day.
