Toshua purchased a barge, fearing that the whole town really would end up starving, and he set off with his 15 employees to travel to Juneau to pick supplies up for everyone.
It’s a 14-hour round trip for them to get to Juneau, where Toshua then spends around $20,000 loading up on everything he can get at the nearby Costco.

Meat, toilet paper, flour, eggs, fruits, and vegetables are some of the things he makes sure to buy at Costco before making the 7-hour trip back home.
Toshua then posts on his Facebook page to let the residents know what he picked up for them.
“No reason for panic buying,” Toshua captioned one of the photos of the supplies he got for the town.
“Our supply chain may be occasionally delayed but it’s holding. We’ve got you covered Gustavus!”
