But, ever since that argument, she has refused to speak to Alessia. Alessia’s husband keeps calling and accusing Carol of being a “toxic snake.” At the same time, some of her friends also believe that she is being oversensitive and that she should give Alessia the money.
Carol, on the other hand, believes that everyone who is not supporting her decision to take the money back can go to hell.
Anyway, all of these conflicting perspectives on the situation have left her feeling totally confused and guilty.
“I feel so bad about it. What I have done might just damage our fifteen years of friendship,” she reflected.
So now, she has been left wondering whether Alessia’s mocking comments warranted the consequence of not getting IVF or if she is being a jerk by withholding the money.
