But it turns out that the entire incident was a mistake.

Lindsey confronted him on the issue over text to tell him that she canceled her card, and he had no idea what she was talking about.

“He basically was saying, like this was a huge mistake, like total misunderstanding, he would Venmo me for however much he spent like he had no idea,” she said in a follow-up video. “We have the same debit card.”

It was apparently just a simple mixup, where he picked her card out of his wallet instead of his since they look the same, but one thing is for sure: always double-check your wallet before you leave.
