“I didn’t want to go because I didn’t want to deal with all of the questions and judgment, and I was still really angry at Jodie for not even apologizing for what she did,” she explained.
And her parents were, thankfully, understanding of this– even though Jodie was utterly pissed. In fact, Jodie actually ended up calling her a total jerk for not attending the party.
Then, her sister had the nerve to say that if she was going to “be that way,” then she was petty and should not bother being a part of the family anymore.
So now, she has feeling utterly confused. Of course, she still believes that Jodie had no right to go behind her back and spread lies after she told her sister that she was not stealing from their mother or gambling.
But, at the same time, she has been left wondering if refusing to attend her sister’s birthday party following the misunderstanding really was a petty thing to do.
Why do you think Jodie did not initially believe that she was not behind the gambling? Can you imagine if your sibling went behind your back and spread these lies to your extended family members? Would you have gone to Jodie’s birthday party after she refused to apologize or clear the air?
