He later learned that his mom was the one who helped his sister pick out her baby name, which didn’t come as a shock to him at all.
He didn’t hold back in telling his sister that she was making an awful choice naming her child something like that.
“If she wants to name her Crystal, name her Crystal,” he said. “She tried to explain to me why the x’s are there, and I just told her it does not matter.”
“She’s naming a human, not a dog. I don’t care what kind of fashion statement she’s trying to make, this is a person who will have to live with that name until they die or has it changed.”
“She and my mom brushed me off as just complaining because I was never able to accept my name. I told my sister she was being either selfish, stupid, or an incredibly strong combination of the two if she thinks her daughter will want a stupid name like Krxstxl.”
Well, that didn’t go over well with his sister, and they began fighting. He finally said to his sister that she and her husband are instantly terrible parents for insisting on using this name for their daughter.
He ended up storming out after saying that. His sister is not dealing with what he said to her well at all, and his mom is currently livid that he said what he did in the first place.
He’s beginning to think that he was too mean to his sister, even though he will never change his mind that the name she is picking is awful.
He’s curious if he took it too far in labeling his sister a terrible parent over her baby name. What do you think?
