Her Mom Always Had Toxic Rules Around Food Growing Up, And Now She’s Giving Her A Taste of Her Own Medicine

“I told my boyfriend of my plan to enforce these rules, that there will be a curfew for the kitchen, [and] that she is not allowed to take or eat food without permission,” she explained.

“If she does, I will call her a thief. I was also thinking of ordering food for myself and telling her that she’s not allowed any. I honestly just want to show her how ridiculous she is about food, but at the same time, I just want to be petty because why not?”

Her boyfriend told her she’d be immature for doing that during her family’s visit and that she should take the high road and be an accommodating host for her mom. Her dad and sister found out about her plan, and they also disapproved, thinking she’d just be adding more fuel to the fire. However, she disagrees.
