She Fired Her Boyfriend And Told Him He Needs To Find A New Career Before She Considers Getting Married Or Having Kids With Him

“We are not in LA or ATL or NYC. The film industry here seems to be really dead, and he’s been practically begging for jobs and can’t seem to get them. There are no union gigs where we are, either,” she said.

“He’s supposed to give me 1/3rd of the rent – $500 a month, and he only does that some months. I do most of the housework besides doing the dishes. I told him to buck up and get a real job and contribute and pay his bills and get a savings account and start budgeting and deal with life like an adult, or he can leave.”

“If he doesn’t want to live to a decent standard, that’s fine, but we can’t live together. I’ve talked to him, and he seems to be making some effort to change, but he’s also being defensive and mean to me. How long should I give him to find a job and tackle this stuff head-on!? I love him, but I feel like staying with him is enabling him to be a bum.”
