So, on Monday morning, she broke the news to A. When she arrives at A and B’s house each morning to nanny, A is the one at home, and B has already left for work.
“I walked in, took a deep breath, and just explained what I had seen. I was hoping maybe she’d tell me that their relationship was open or they were already separating, but, unfortunately, that’s not what happened. She immediately got tears in her eyes and was just shaking her head in disbelief, and she kept asking me if I was SURE that I had seen him,” she explained.
In response, she assured A that she was positive it was B whom she’d seen kissing another woman, and when A left the house for work, she was still sobbing.
At the end of the day, A came home and acted quite unemotional and haughty toward her.
“I got a text later on that evening saying that she and C were going to stay with her parents for a week or two and that she wouldn’t be needing me to nanny until they got back,” she shared.
Since then, she hasn’t heard anything from A. While she felt like she did the right thing, her mother and some of her friends didn’t agree.
In their view, she was getting involved in other people’s lives. Her mother told her that she could lose her nannying job because of this, and now she’s anxious that that will happen.
After hearing her mother and friends weigh in, she feels awful and as if she’s to blame for ruining someone’s marriage and for causing stress to a pregnant woman who already has enough on her plate.
What would you have done if you were in her shoes?
