At that point, she had already resolved never to see this guy again, so she didn’t put up much of a fight about where they were going to eat.
They ordered their food, but when it came time to pay, he started patting down his pockets to search for his wallet. Kelly glared at him, annoyed that she would have to pay for their meals. It was just the cherry on top of a really bad date. Fortunately, he found his wallet and was able to cover the bill.
Then, they sat down at a table to eat. During dinner, he said something that was super insensitive and disrespectful. In response, she pushed her plate away, stood up, told him she wouldn’t be going to the movie with him, and that she never wanted to see him again. His jaw dropped.
She walked out of the restaurant, ducked into another restaurant next door, and headed straight to the bathroom. While she was in the bathroom ordering a ride home, she heard him outside shouting her name. He was also texting up a storm, asking if she was serious about leaving him.
Eventually, the screaming stopped, and her ride arrived. As she stepped outside, she locked eyes with the driver and sped toward the car as fast as she could, hoping her date wasn’t waiting to intercept her. Luckily, she didn’t run into him and made it home without incident.
