She Encouraged A Woman Who Just Gave Birth To Leave Her “Good-For-Nothing” Husband, And Now The Guy Won’t Stop Harassing Her And Saying She Ruined His Family

Several months ago, this 30-year-old woman had a baby. Her husband, 33, was incredibly supportive during her labor. He held her hand and gave her words of encouragement the entire time.
Afterward, during recovery, she was moved to a room with another woman who was in her late 20s and had also just had a baby. Since she’s usually quite chatty, she and the woman began getting to know each other and exchanged details of how it went while they gave birth.
“I was shocked when she told me that her husband left before she was even finished to go get some sleep because ‘his back was killing him,’ and he hadn’t shown up to the hospital since,” she said.
The woman also shared that her husband did no housework throughout her pregnancy despite the fact that they both had full-time jobs.
Plus, the woman needed to work during the majority of her pregnancy because if she resigned from her job or took a break from work for a while, her husband’s income wouldn’t have been enough for them to live on.
“I told her that she is too good for him, and she shouldn’t have to tolerate a disrespectful, good-for-nothing man-child,” she explained.
In response, the woman said that she’d been contemplating divorce, but she was concerned that she would struggle to survive on her own. She advised the woman about resources aside from family that she could utilize, explaining that there are many programs that can help single moms.
“She did leave him, and it turns out he was also cheating on her. I’ve kept in touch with her (she is doing great, both mentally and economically, since she got a raise or something, and her family is also supportive and helping her). But now, her ex-to-be has been harassing my family and me and accusing me of ruining his family,” she shared.
According to the woman’s soon-to-be ex-husband, she was the one who convinced his wife to file for divorce. Because the harassment has been relentless, she and her husband have been trying to get a restraining order against the man.

Now that she’s been reflecting on the situation, she’s concerned that she shouldn’t have given this woman advice in the first place. She didn’t pressure the woman into divorcing her husband, though.
All she did was assure the woman that if she wanted to leave, she could and shouldn’t put up with mistreatment from her husband. At the same time, she couldn’t help but feel bad that she had given advice to a stranger.
What would you have done if you were in her shoes?
