If you realized you were green-eyed over your spouse’s affair partner and the money they spent on their homewrecker, would you be hopeful that recreating the special moments those two shared could help you out?
This 32-year-old woman has a husband the same age as her, and while she was pregnant with their child, her husband cheated on her with a girl more than a decade younger than them (his affair partner is 22).
Her husband’s affair lasted half a year and continued on even after she gave birth to their baby. Her husband did the bare minimum as a dad and was checked out of their relationship emotionally.
Along with the affair, she found out that her husband spent so much money on this other girl, and it’s something she just can’t get past.
“After unraveling everything she received, like money, lingerie, clothes, fancy hotel rooms, taxi rides, romantic kissing, hugs, daily videocalls,…car [hook ups], lunch, dessert, sending her to the airport for a holiday, and probably many more, I believe I am actually quite jealous,” she explained.
“She didn’t even need to spend a single cent. It’s not that he didn’t provide during our dating life and marriage; he did. Albeit during our dating life, he wasn’t earning as much as he is now.”
“It’s just that she got to receive it too, and that’s the root cause of my jealousy. He said he has stopped contacting her, but it doesn’t change that she received so much in the last few months.”
She’s wondering how she can overcome her envy when her husband’s affair partner gets to live on in his memories for the rest of his life.
She’s also thinking it could be a good idea for her to recreate the exact same special moments her husband had with his affair partner, so he can focus on her, his wife, and not his mistress.
And finally, she’s puzzled over how she can manage to find her self-esteem and quit being so jealous of her husband’s affair partner.
It’s sad to me that instead of being angry with her husband, she’s ended up in a competition with his mistress. When she was literally carrying her husband’s child, he was too busy spending his money on this other girl instead of her.
How gross. He should have been showering her and their unborn baby with affection. This man does not have his priorities straight, and he’s the homewrecker, not the 22-year-old.
I don’t think her husband’s affair is something she can move past, but she can start by ditching her husband. Her self-esteem is so gone that it can’t be resurrected if she stays with him, in my opinion.
Also, recreating the memories her husband shared with his affair partner is just twisted and weird.
