Any number of things can happen in the aftermath of a date like, heated arguments, unwanted advances, and ghosting.
For one woman, her date came with a surprise ending. Her story will make you realize that perhaps you didn’t have it so bad after all.
Ebony and Lucie are best friends, and they host a podcast together called “It’s a Girl Thing.” They posted a snippet of an episode on their TikTok account @girlthingpod, on which they discussed the worst date Lucie had ever been on.
So, a guy had asked Lucie out to dinner. The date started out pretty promising. While they were out, they had the best time. It was filled with laughter, sparks of chemistry, and good conversation.
He was a smooth talker who knew just what to say, and she was really into him. At one point, the people sitting at the table next to them even commented on what an amazing couple they were and asked how long they had been together.
When the date was over, they walked to the train before parting ways. As they said their goodbyes, he told Lucie that he could never see her again.
She was stunned and thoroughly confused, especially because their date had gone so well.
At first, she thought there had been some miscommunication because of the language barrier since the guy was from Italy.
So, she asked if he meant that he wouldn’t be able to see her for a while because he was going back to Italy.
He emphasized that he meant he couldn’t see her ever again. Then, he revealed that he had had a girlfriend for the past ten years.
She was the love of his life, and he planned to marry her.
But he had felt so drawn to Lucie that he wanted to go on a date with her. In the end, she was left scratching her head, wondering what exactly had happened.
When Ebony asked her how she managed to suppress the urge to shove him down onto the train tracks, Lucie told her that she was just too flabbergasted to retaliate.
