Now that summertime is in full swing; many people are starting to make time for one of the most popular summer activities – camping!

Camping is a great way to spend time outdoors over the summer and enjoy fun activities. You can sit around the fire, have a cookout, go on hiking trails, look at the stars, etc.

However, camping comes with a few experiences that some may find unpleasant. For instance, not everyone is crazy about sleeping outside with bugs, using portable restrooms, and the overall lack of air conditioning and showers.

If you’re someone who would love to participate in camping but doesn’t like the more rugged part of it, you need to try ‘glamping.’

For those who may not know, glamping is a unique way of camping that adds a touch of luxury and comfort to your outdoor experience. It’s about enjoying the best of both worlds – the thrill of outdoor camping and the indulgence of a luxurious vacation.

If you don’t know where to begin regarding the glamping process, here is a little guide to get you started.

To go glamping, you can do two things – look up campsites and Airbnbs that specialize in glamping or luxury camping, or set up your own ‘glampsite’ with extra fancy equipment.

Since glamping has become very popular over the last few years, many campsites, Airbnbs, and bed and breakfasts have great accommodations for that kind of trip.

Through searching online, you can find Airbnb hosts with luxury tents, tiny homes, or trailers that make for perfect glamping spots.

Booking one of these sights is nice and easy, as they’re often located in a beautiful outdoor area but also provide accommodations more comfortable than a basic tent. Plus, they usually have much nicer bathrooms than the ones you’d be stuck with on a more rugged camping trip.

If you want to set up your own glampsite, consider investing in a high-quality luxury tent that is extra sturdy, spacious, and suitable for any and all kinds of weather.

When setting up your own glampsite, you’ll also want to ensure you’re in an area that isn’t too isolated. Many hardcore campers like to stay in isolated areas miles away from civilization. But when you’re glamping, you’ll want to make sure there’s access to good bathrooms, stores, cooking areas, etc.

You can also bring in super cool tools that make glamping more efficient, like foldable and portable tables, kitchen gear, inflatable couches, tables for drinking games, outdoor speakers, hammocks, and coolers.

When staying on a site designated for glamping, you should have plenty of options for throwing away and storing your food, so bring whatever your heart desires. You can meal prep nicer meals or cook easy yet delicious foods.

Another aspect of glamping is making your glampsite feel like you’re still in your home. Therefore, you should be bringing things from home! Set up your bed or air mattress with cute bedding and pillows from home. Hang up pretty LED lights for a cozy, warm feel, pack your favorite robe and pajamas, and even bring pictures from home.

Glamping is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with loved ones without getting too stressed about worrying about wildlife or hardcore camping protocols.

If you want to reconnect with nature this summer, I’d highly recommend getting a group of friends together to enjoy the beauty of glamping. Enjoy!
