Most people have encountered someone who struggles to take no for an answer and lives in a land of delusion. One woman found herself dealing with someone like this during a particularly difficult chapter of her marriage.
After TikToker Julie (@adayinjulieslife) got separated from her husband, he started hanging out with a female friend who told him that he should leave his wife for her. Her husband has passed away since then. He has been gone for four years.
The whole time they were separated, Julie thought her husband was in a relationship with this girl. Julie was upset, but she couldn’t really do anything about it because they were separated after all.
She asked for a divorce, but her husband refused. He also maintained that he was just friends with the girl, and he was telling the truth.
“She and my husband hung out a lot when he and I were separated, and he thought he made it clear that they were just friends,” said Julie.
“I have seen every text message, everything exchanged between the two of them. When he and I had been separated for a time, she swooped in and thought she was his girlfriend.”
She became convinced that she was somehow destined to replace Julie, no matter how many times Julie’s husband insisted they were nothing more than friends.
She tried to get him to divorce Julie and even tried to get him to stop spending time with their daughter, but he said no every time.
Once he was discharged from the hospital following his colonoscopy, this girl showed up at their house and stated that she didn’t understand why he didn’t leave Julie to be with her.
Everything changed when Julie’s husband fell ill. He came back home, and they were able to rekindle their relationship and work things out.
The girl finally stopped talking to Julie’s husband when she heard they had renewed their wedding vows.
Julie has also seen text messages that this girl sent to her husband, asking why he never kissed her and why he didn’t want to be with her. So, she knew they weren’t actually together, but she still seemed to have one foot out of reality.
“This is not the first man she has done this to,” said Julie. “She did it to a couple of other men…I’m not a fan of her. No one in my family is a fan of her.”
According to Julie, a family member at her husband’s funeral brought along a date. The girl also attended the funeral. That night, she found that family member’s date on a dating site and swiped right on him, even though she knew that guy had been at the funeral with one of Julie’s relatives.
