Speck PixelSleeve Review

screenshot 053 300x266 Speck PixelSleeve ReviewSpeck is at it again with their new apologetically bright colored PixelSleeves. The case is made of a textured neoprene that is a stretchy material that holds a 13″ laptop quite snugly. The interior has a equally brightly colored micro fleece material that provides some padding. It won’t protect against a fall but it will definitely cushion impacts while moving around in a bag.

The sleeve does have a fold over flap that is always nice so it doesn’t just pop out when unzipped. You have to actually unfold the flap and pull out the laptop. The carrying handle on the top makes it easy to carry with fuzzy material on the inside of the handle, a thoughtful touch. Also, it is a nice deflector for occasional spills. Water will eventually soak in if you leave it, but otherwise it just slicks off. The Speck PixelSleeves are available in pink, purple or black and costs $29.95 for the 10″ version, and $34.95 for the 13″ and 15″ versions.

The good:
Moderately waterproof, secure fit

The bad:
Minimal padding
