It’s nice to see some more custom looking widgets coming out for Android Phones – why should the iPhone get all the fun Apps! Smartphones Technologies has launched Smart Widgets for Android devices, featuring custom college clock widgets for 75 colleges and universities. Instead of using the standard clock that comes with the phone, college sports fanatics can purchase a clock widget customized with their college logo and school colors. The new college clock widgets include a drop down ticker tray showing up to the minute scores while games are in progress. These new Smart Widgets let fans get live college football scores directly on the home screen of their phone without even launching an app. There are also three clock layouts available with your school logo: flip clock view, scoreboard view and analog clock, all with school logos and colors. Apparently the widget is available now in the Andriod Market. So all you need is a beer and and your phone to enjoy College football season.
