BigOven does the food app possibly better than it’s ever been done before. You can view over 170,000 recipes (and post your own, with pictures), but where the app really shines is when it’s time to cook something up. You can enter a specific food word (chicken, or tomato, or spicy) and get results based on that search. Better yet, you can enter all of the random ingredients you have laying around in your kitchen, and instantly get a recipe drawn up for you so you don’t even need to leave the house. If you do need to leave, you can store grocery lists and access your recipes as a reference while you’re in the store. You can also learn more about obscure ingredients that you aren’t too familiar with, thanks to a robust glossary. The app is free, but there are separate free and pro memberships for the BigOven website. Pro users get access to nutrition facts, can post recipes privately, and can make their own custom grocery lists. The BigOven app is available now for free from AppsFuze.
