Acer ICONIA TAB A501 Lands at AT&T with 4G

The Acer ICONIA TAB A501 has finally arrived, and it’s ready to debut with AT&T’s 4G under the hood. The new Acer ICONIA TAB A501 is a 10.1 inch tablet running Android Honeycomb. It will be available with support for AT&T’s HSPA+ network. The tablet itself features a high-gloss finish that is complimented by an engraved pattern for a flash of style. This is definitely a welcome change of pace from all of the tablets that are starting to look alike. The A501 is also made of an alpine silver brushed metal aluminum chassis that weighs a total of 1.689 pounds and measures 10.24(w) x 6.97(d) x 0.52(h)-inches.

The tablet’s 10.1″ display packs in a healthy 1280×800 resolution TFT WXGA display with a 16:10 aspect ration, and support for an 80 degree viewing angle. The TAB also features Dolby Mobile audio technology, an HDMI port, a MicroSDHC slot, microUSB port, a full size USB port, a 5MP front-facing camera with flash and auto-focus, and a 2MP fixed-focused front-facing webcam, built-in GPS, and a six-axis motion sensor meter control. Battery life is expected to be up-to 8 hours for games or HD video playback, and up-to 10 hours of Wi-Fi internet browsing.
